zCloud

zCloud is Zebroo's Odoo hosting platform. You sign in with GitHub, create a project, and a real server is provisioned with Odoo running on it — no server administration on your part.

:::caution Preview zCloud is still being built, and every project you create provisions a real, billable server. It is not a sandbox. Talk to us before ordering: it@zebroo.de. :::

What it does

  • Sign in with GitHub. Your repositories are the source of truth for custom addons.
  • Create a project in one flow — machine size, Odoo version and edition, source code, staging and extras.
  • Get a running Odoo. The server is provisioned, hardened, and Odoo is started behind TLS on your own domain.
  • Operate it from the browser. Deploys, updates, backups, logs, an SQL console, staging instances and team access all live on the project screen.

New to zCloud? Start with Getting Started — it walks the whole path from signing in to an Odoo you can open.

How it relates to the other tools

zCloud is the hosting layer. The others build what runs on it:

ToolRole
zodooRuns Odoo in Docker. zCloud provisions machines that run Odoo the same way
GimeraAssembles the addon tree your repository declares
zCICDTests and releases changes before they reach a hosted instance
zSYNCIntegrations running inside the hosted Odoo — can be pre-installed on a new project

What every project gets

These are not optional extras — they are applied to every machine when it is provisioned:

  • Fail2Ban, installed and configured for sshd
  • SSH password login disabled — key access only
  • A firewall limited to the ports the service needs
  • Unattended security upgrades
  • TLS certificates issued automatically

The hardening is deliberate: it is the difference between a hosted Odoo and a virtual machine somebody has to remember to look after.
